Post-Brexit Blues?

2017 has been a very challenging and yet rewarding year for Key Business Consultants.

We took on our third, fourth and fifth employee and the year is not even three quarters over yet. We are looking for a larger office, although we will still have key business consultants accountants headquarters on Kings Road, SW3.

We've also hit our target of trying to double the number of clients that we have on our books. That is due to the continued support of our clients (thank you, by the way). I view my clients the same as I view myself in my own business - entrepreneurs.

This perspective gives me the focus that I need to respond to them how I would want any advisor of mine to respond to me:

How We Work

Not only have we managed the growth in work but we also have been attending continual professional development. CPD helps us to keep up with the latest tax changes, potential tax changes, entirely new taxes and legal issues coming from every direction. Some of our clients also do ask us very technical questions on some very specific areas; this helps to keep us on our toes!

Looking towards the future and it looks brighter still for accountants. The ICAEW has applied to be a regulatory body for Reserved Legal Activities, which are areas of law that have previously been restricted solely to solicitors and barristers.

As such, we have taken on a legal consultant to work with us in order to meet our client demands and updated our Our Services page to reflect what we can now provide to you.

Since I like to offer more than the average accountant, I sat my exam and passed it and can now apply for regulatory oversight and offer probate services. Check back soon for website updates.

This leans into inheritance tax planning which we already do via SEIS but also Will writing, Executorship to administer deceased persons’ estates, and trusts. If you picked it up then yes, I am sitting the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) exams in order to boost my knowledge in this area to the highest levels.

So if you already like reading our blogs about SEIS then you can expect a wider variety of topics although we still focus on the biggest tax relief scheme that the UK and indeed most of the world has to offer.

Once again, thank you for your support and confidence while we aim to continue to exceed your expectations and stay one step ahead of your own increased knowledge.
