According to Company Act 2006, there are more than 100 forms and depending on your LLP’s circumstances at any point in time, many of them must be filled out and sent to Companies House in a timely manner.

While it isn’t possible to list out and explain each Companies House form for LLPs in a single read-up, here are some of the primary, more common forms you should know about:

Primary Companies House Forms for LLPs

Change in registered office address

Form LLAD01 is submitted to Companies House when you want to notify a change of address in your LLP’s registered office address

Appointment of LLP member

Form LLAP02 must be submitted to Companies House when a new individual is appointed as a member in your LLP.

Appointment of corporate member

In this case, Companies House must be informed via Form LLAP02 when a new corporate entity as a member is appointed in your LLP.

Change in member details

Any one of your members may have a change in details – such as a new address – which must be communicated to Companies House through Form LLCH01.

Change in corporate member details

Any change in details of a corporate member appointed as a member must be brought to the notice of Companies House – in this case, via Form LLCH02.

Termination of member

Form LLTM01 must be completed and submitted to Companies House when one of your member’s term/appointment has come to an end – this applies to both individual members and corporate members.

Notification of SAIL

Form LLAD02 is used to notify Companies House of a SAIL (single alternative inspection location) address.

Change in location of SAIL records

If you wish to keep any company records at the SAIL address, then Companies House must be notified through Form LLAD03.

Change in location of records from SAIL to registered office

Form LLAD04 is submitted to Companies House if you wish to move company records from the SAIL address to your registered LLP office address.

Change in accounting reference date

Whenever a change needs to be made in the accounting reference date, you must submit Form LLAA01 to Companies House.

Composite return

All LLPs are required to submit at least one composite return document every year in 28 days or less of the made up date or legal return date. Form LLAR01 needs to be submitted to Companies House as it provides them with a snapshot of your LLPs information, according to the made up date.

The full list of Companies Act forms which must be submitted to Companies House under specific circumstances in your LLP is vast, to say the least.
